HR-Total Rewards and Compensation Manager


  • Reporting to the Director of HR, The Total Rewards and Compensation Lead will design, and implement customized compensation surveys.
  • Implements base salaries and variable compensation programs, including annual salary review for all employee categories; Maintains evaluation and internal equity analysis of jobs and makes recommendations
  • Creates new and revised compensation strategies, programs, policies and procedures, Oversees exempt, non-exempt, physician, and executive salary surveys 
  • Design retention programs for areas where market shortage is impacting ability to hire and retain quality staff; ensures compliance with FLSA standards and provisions Responsible for the analysis and administration (as well as the outsourcing and third-party vendor management
  • Acts as a liaison to managers to develop local compensation strategies appropriate for their business needs and consistent with the organization's overall reward strategy.
  • Compensation Policies: Works collaboratively with , Human Resource  business partners, Talent Acquisition, on complex issues related to wages, general compensation, reorganizations, wage and hour regulations, and compensation policies.
  • Provides appropriate development opportunities to ensure staff is competent and continually improving their performance.
  • Provides ongoing feedback, objectively assess employee performance and provide appropriate rewards and recognition.
  • Provides leadership in the management of cross-functional projects.




  • 5 plus years of Compensation experience required
  • Education: Bachelor degree, Masters preferred
  • Certifications: ideally but not required:
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) - World at Work
  • Health care is not required; Physician Compensation a plus
  • Ideal candidate will have built a total rewards program including retention, employee recognition programs
  • Must understand shift differentials.
  • Executive compensation experience is highly desired 
  • Must have experience overseeing compensation processes and building salary structures.  
  • Strong analytical skills with proven ability to translate analysis to recommendations.
  • Exceptional quantitative analysis, research, problem-solving and organizational skills required
  • Excellent writing, communication and interpersonal skills required
  • Strong customer-service orientation
  • Advanced computer skills (MS Word, Excel, & PowerPoint).
  • General background in Human Resources.
